How much do you know about MICRODERMABRASION?

When I started this beauty blog, I made a lot of reserch about beauty treatments. I have to say quite frankly that I only went for facial once in my entire life! I went for extration procedure and it was painful. I tried on some products which does not go well with my skin and suffered long. After that I straightaway learn about investments on the skin. Be really careful about what's best and suitable on your face. And check your finances as well.

Recently I tried Polishing Peel from Nuskin, which was meant for microdermabrasion treatment at home, to deliver the same clinical treatment result, and the best thing about this is you can do it yourself.

But before that let me explain to you what microdermabrasion is all about.

Microdermabrasion basically a peeling treatment, with the aim to create younger and smoother skin. The process includes removing  the outermost layer of dead skin cells from the epidermis.  Once a person went through the procedure, it will diminish the fine lines, wrinkles, and shallow acne scars which helps to even out the texture. Removing the dead skin will aid in the penetration of skin care products by up to 50% and make-up will go on much more smoothly.

Nuskin Polishing Peel  contains non-abrasive formula features pumpkin enzymes that resurface and polish the skin, and bentonite clay to remove dull skin cells and toxins. You only need to apply thin layer of it and leave it up to 1 minute, and until the product firms you can slowly massage your face and the thin layer will draw out the impurities away from the surface.

Unlike the clinical treatment which costs RM100 or more per session or a few times at least to see the result, this small wonder only cost RM104 for wholesale price or RM83 for the distributors!

A good radiant skin

There's a profound joy in shopping for make up or beauty products.

You're never too short, too fat or too thin that could be the primary reason of shopping for clothes or signing up for slimming programme.

First of all, I am not a beauty expert, but absolutely can be called a beauty junkie. Only, I never shop for cheap stuff, because it was never on my list to try something that does not work. So as you go along reading my experiences, it was quite subjective too, because I only wrote what product is good for me and those who have tried and share it with me.

Every girl would at least own a lipstick, which makes it a universal idea that women thrives on beauty.

Most girls loves the idea of camouflage, that's why every women need to own the foundation, bb cream, concealers and you can see there's good deal of choice out there, and most are willing to spend on these, without investing on a good beauty cream!

My principle is, a good skin the first step to good appearance.

Radiant face glows from within, and  by achieving that, you will spend less amount of cream on your skin!

So, a good skin start with a good cleansing. And never sleep with your make up on or never go to bed without a night cream so that the skin repair itself while you keep yourself rested.

How to do it?

If you have the means, go for Nuskin,  and if you want me to suggest alternatives, just tone your face with icea water and lemon ( it works as astringent) and wear honey yogurt as beauty mask!

Go For Your Looks

Is this something that you have in mind?

It is an interesting fact to know that during recession period, beauty and skincare products are still selling well. I am among those in that category, as the age gets older, I also want to grow wiser and keep on improving my image. That way you help to become more successful, sustainable and also helps people to change their lives.

Turning 30

This year, Erra & Aira are turning 30.

We met each other when we were 18 and this year marks our 12th year together!

Many ladies don't quite embrace the idea of hitting almost middle-age, to be exact, the big 30 - but I for one, loved the very idea of it.

Confession - I hate being in my twenties. People look at me with this notion of incompleteness - you have to get married, you need a good job, you are still young, you don't deserve enough respect etc. etc.

Turning 30 will do good for me. I feel more substantial in terms of myself, my personality, my career, the marriage that I'm in and best of all - people can't quite shove me around because I am not a little twenty-year old anymore.

Truthfully, I stopped being 20 when I turned 20. When I was 25, I was actually having the maturity of a 30 year old. So yes! Come to me, 30!

As 2011 stepped into my life, three things has put me on a hold and became the epitome of my life:

1. Health & Fitness
2. Beauty & Looking Good
3. Investment and more investments

This all boils down to the business path that Erra & I have chosen to pursue: the Galvanic Spa.

Hello Ladies!

Nina Garcia is our prime inspiration for coming up with this blog. We read her books, we see her views and we adopted the word she used so fashionably in the book "Style Strategy" - Recessionista!
Many people would really like the label "Fashionista", it brings about the air of always being in trend no matter what, always being the first to be wearing the top designer's clothes and having an empire of fashionable closet - but, in reality - can we all afford that - is it really worth it?
Is Fancy really the new Fashion trend?

Maybe not. The Resecessionista is the NEW Fashionista simply because we are current, relevant, fashionable, smart, savvy and we make a lot of people happy by advocating this!

You can find out more about Nina Garcia on http://www.ninagarcia.com/ , we LIVE by her books, I got on her "Style Strategy" - recommended by Erra and it's best book I've read in 5 years. It's funny how Fashion can also inspire your dreams! I'm currently finishing "The One Hundred", a more in-depth guide on the what-to-wear and how-to-wear and what you must have in your closet.

The cutest thing about Nina Garcia's books are the illustrations (you feel like a little girl again), and the famous quotes (by fashion giants like Marc Jacobs). You simply can't put it down. I think I have found my best friend :)

We will be giving tips here and there on this book FROM Nina Garcia's famous books, even from her twitter and facebook pages (she's got endless advice on looking good, feeling good and staying happy) - and we try our best to relate it to our lives, our background and the culture that makes us who we are :)
