Ginger Juice for Health
Have you ever tried ginger juice before?
Those who ever tried spa might probably tasted ginger juice, normally after a long body massage. I know Urban Retreat Spa gives a good one. I tried this one from Culpeper, a herbalist brand from UK, which is 100% organic and mixed together with Manuka Honey. This ginger juice can be added with water, hot water works best and drink a whole cup after meal to ease the tummy. This brand also works well as flavoring for cooking and baking as well. Roasted chicken goes well with this too!
* However, it's a bit pricey with RM70 per bottle at any Living Quarters outlet.
For those who are curious about ginger and its medicinal properties, there is a wide range of benefits of ginger such as nausea, digestive problems, circulation and arthritis. Nausea caused during pregnancy or by travelling is one of the benefits of ginger root. Ginger is also known to have the ability to calm an upset stomach and to promote the flow of bile. Stomach cramps can be eased and circulation can also be improved. Ginger supports a healthy cardiovascular system by making platelets less sticky which in turn reduces circulatory problems.
Ginger oil used for massage can help relieve painful arthritis due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger is often included in many herbal decongestants and can help to minimise the symptoms of respiratory conditions, colds and allergies.
You could also try and do your own juice at home. Just cut a few slices and add some water and boil it until the extracts come up from the roots. Alternatively add some sugar or honey to ease the strong taste.
If you still find it tough to cook, just purchase powdered ginger from any organic store, Justlife at Ikano has it or simply buy this one at Village Grocer. This taste great too! Retail price at RM17.90!
There's also another brand ALIVE , which is considerably good purchase . RM35.90 per bottle.

The Everything Balm from Trilogy
Some name it A Little Pot of Wonders, The Balm That Does Everything, The Multi Tasking Beauty Tool and many many more.
Introducing The Everything Balm , from Trilogy which is based in New Zealand, and they have the skincare range that has rosehip oil content including other natural product which is completely organic.
How I came to know and try this was a little bit incidental too, as I was initially looking for rosehip oil to reduce my pigmentation and brown spots concerns. In case you didn't know, it's great to have rosehip oil at home too, it does wonders ; this oil naturally contains antioxidants and vitamins as well Omega 3 and 6. It's excellent to stimulate metabolic changes to the skin, reduce wrinkles and fine lines, reduce dark spots, boosts levels of collagen and helps cell regeneration. Its great for after sun too! Those who have scars might wanna look for this as well.
This balm contains marula, rosehip oil, olive oil, coconut oil, evening primrose oil, jojoba oil, wheat germ oil, honey and Vitamin E. All the good oils for the skin. It's lightweight moisture makes it great as the face moisturizer, softening dry elbows, knees, hands and feet, perfect for nails, as lip balm, post shave moisturizing and also great for baby's bottom. I switch from using Mothercare Nappy Cream to this Balm for my little babies and it treat the rashes well too!
This product came in 2 sizes, 45ml pot and 95ml. 45 ml pot costs at about RM59.00 at The Natural Source stores.
* I would choose to buy the smaller pot as it comes handy when you travel a lot, as you could skip on bringing extra creams here and there while travelling.
My friend , Aira loves the gorgeous scent, we usually use this after lunch to keep our hands refreshed and feeling soft!
If I were to make a comparison in terms of other balms like Vaseline, Chapsticks or Blistex, this is not as waxy as the other balms. And its completely organic too. Which scores more plus points. The packaging comes with recyclable boxes, cute and pretty packaging and great for gifts as well.
The balm is so simple to use – simply warm a small amount of the skin care cream in the palm of your hand, and rub into the skin until absorbed. It can be used anywhere on the face or the body. It is equally safe to use the Trilogy Everything Balm on your baby.
For those who wanna check out Trilogy lines, feel free to check any organic stores, I know TNS in Hartamas Shopping Centre does excellent customer service and was very helpful to help you to test the products as well.
